Human Rights project
Dear students,
As you know, this week we will be working on the script for a commercial spot that you will have to film in the coming weeks.
Here you can find the guidelines for the project along with the checklist that will be used to evaluate the written report and the rubric for assessing the script.
Please remember that before going on a website to do your research, you must ask your teacher first!

Personal essay rubric
Dear students,
For the last few months we have been working on a writing project, in which you had to follow several steps in order to write a personal essay.
You will have to turn in your writing (the final personal essay plus all the worksheets used in the process) on Tuesday 17th November.
The essay will be evaluated with the following rubric:
Please note that one whole point will be taken from your final grade for every worksheet that is not completed.

Reglamento de Rugby para 5to básico
COMISION TECNICA.
RUGBY.
A.B.S.CH.
REGLAS PARA QUINTO BASICO.
1.- Número de jugadores.
El equipo estará formado por 11 jugadores, 5
forwards y 6 backs. ( 2 wings )
2.- Inicios, reinicios y salidas de 15 mIs.
Serán de Drop kicks en el centro de la cancha
y en el centro de la línea de 15 mts. La distancia mínima de la defensa será de
7mts.
3.- Penales y free-kicks.
-Se jugara un Tap penal en el lugar de la
infracción.
-La defensa debe retirarse a una distancia de
7 mts como mínimo.
-La defensa puede presionar una vez que el
jugador que juega el tap penal se desprende del balón al dar un pase, este
jugador (el que juega el Tap penal) esta obligado a dar un pase inmediatamente
jugado el tap penal.
-El primer jugador que recibe el balón no
podrá ir directamente a embestir a un defensa, sanción:
penal. (Esta regla es también aplicable a los inicios, reinicios y
salidas de 15 mts.).
Embestir: acción de correr directamente y sin
cambio de dirección de carrera hacia un oponente para chocarlo. El jugador
podrá ir en búsqueda de un espacio.
4.- Kicks.
- No esta permitido patear o driblear el
balón en ningún sector de la cancha y de ninguna forma excepto: En scrum y
rucks patada suave hacia atrás (heeling).
- Kick defensivo (22) no tiene que salir de la cancha.
En la zona de 15 mts patada de punt durante el juego,
o en un penal o free-kick al touch. Si esta patada no sale al touch, el juego
seguirá su curso normal..
-Conversión a los palos después de un try, se
ejecutara frente al centro de los postes, se podrá hacer de place o drop kicks.
No se permite cargar esta conversión.
5.- Scrum.
-La formación será 3-2.
-El scrum será sin empuje, sin embargo los
Hookers podrán disputar y obtener el balón, es decir la disputa de la posesión
será solamente a través del hookeo, con un solo pie.
-El amarre de los primeras líneas será de
acuerdo al reglamento y el árbitro debe preocuparse de esto.
-El scrum-half del equipo defensor debe estar
detrás del último pie de la segunda línea de su scrum.
-La defensa puede presionar cuando el balón
sale de las manos del scrum-half. Este jugador esta obligado a dar un pase
inmediatamente, una vez que el balón sale del scrum.
La línea de off side es detrás del último pie
del scrum.
Es muy importante que el scrum se ejecute en
forma técnicamente correcta: postura corporal (espalda derecha), amarres y buen
hoockeo.
6. Line-out.
-Forman 4 jugadores, más los lanzadores.
-El line-out no es disputado, gana la pelota,
el equipo que pone en juego.
- El balón debe ser lanzado en forma derecha
por sobre la cabeza hacia el segundo jugador de la hilera. El balón debe ser
pasado al scrum-half, y este debe dar un pase a los backs, el scrum-half esta
obligado a dar un pase inmediatamente una vez que recibe el balón.
-Si el balón no se toma sobre la cabeza se da
opción de line o scrum al otro equipo.
-La defensa puede presionar inmediatamente
cuando la pelota sale de las manos del scrum-half, al efectuar un pase.
-Los jugadores que no forman parte del
line-out deben estar a 7 mts. de la línea media de este, excepto los
scrum-halfs respectivos y el lanzador del equipo defensor, quien puede estar en
la zona de entre el touch y los 3 mts. (Esta última distancia debe ser
respetada).
7.- Tackle.
-La defensa del tackle a través de la acción
del hand-off debe ser hecha bajo los hombros del tackleador
Sancion:Penal
-La accion de tomar de la camiseta al
portador del balón podrá ser utilizada para retener o acercar al atacante para
taklearlo pero no para revolear, camisetear o derribar al atacante. Sanción: Penal.
Camisetear: Acción de tirar de la camiseta,
girando y derribando al oponente. El árbitro deberá cautelar la aplicación de
esta regla y prevenir esta acción, debido al alto riesgo que implica.
8.- Otros.
-Se utilizara balón numero 4.
-Los jugadores deben usar estoperoles de
goma.
-Se sugiere uso de protector bucal.
-Cualquier situación no contemplada en estas
reglas se aplicara el reglamento oficial
del juego del rugby, incluyendo las
modificaciones para menores de 19 años.
9.- Dimensiones de la cancha:
Será de un largo de 70 metros por un ancho de
40 metros, donde habrán 3 áreas en cada lado, una de 15 metros, una de 13
metros y una de 7 metros.
Dada las condiciones limitadas de
infraestructura de algunos colegios se sugiere el uso del ancho de una cancha
oficial, donde los tries deberán ser marcados en las lineas de touch.
